Some people celebrate the festival just at home, while some indulge in it as a whole community. Various communities have huge party like arrangements in tents called Pandaals. People bring the statues of Ganpati bhagwan on Chaturthi and continue the festival for ten days, ending on Anant Chaudas/ Chaturdashi. Finally, they submerge the idols in water. Worshippers follow various restrictions and fasts in such days. They also wear their traditional outfits. Various sweets, flowers, fruits and herbs can be offered to Ganesh ji such as Durva, Modak, Karanji, Shami, Malti etc.
